Take the lead in a high-impact executive role where you are empowered to shape the clinical and operational future of our hospital network.

 In this position, you will exercise significant delegated authority to solve complex system-level challenges, supported by an executive cohort that prioritises professional growth and integrity. As we move toward a divisional service-line model, you will hold single-point accountability for a significant operating budget of $300 million and a dedicated workforce of approximately 1,200 FTE.

You won't navigate this transformation alone; you will guide a divisional leadership team, partnering with clinical and non-clinical leads to foster a culture of safety, excellence, and staff wellbeing across our services.

About the role:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for hospital services across CQHHS facilities.
  • Lead performance across emergency access, elective surgery, and inpatient flow to achieve targets.
  • Drive the transition to an integrated service model aligned to patient pathways and system demand.
  • Lead large-scale service redesign and innovation to optimise hospital capacity.
  • Standardise models of care and clinical pathways to ensure safety and consistency across all sites.
  • Oversee effective financial stewardship of a significant operating budget and resources.
  • Strengthen partnerships with clinicians, consumers, and partners to support patient-centred care.

About you:

  • You possess substantial senior executive leadership experience in managing large, complex, and multi-site service environments.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering performance across activity, access, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • You are a strategic thinker capable of influencing across organisational boundaries to achieve integrated service delivery.
  • You have highly developed leadership capability with the ability to foster a culture of accountability and performance.
  • You demonstrate deep expertise in clinical and corporate governance within a complex health service environment.
  • You are a sophisticated communicator and negotiator with the ability to engage clinical leaders and executive colleagues.
  • You ideally hold relevant tertiary qualifications in health, business, management, finance or a related discipline.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $284,962 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $202,404 - $220,983 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
