This is a rare opportunity to exercise significant delegated authority to solve complex workforce and service access challenges, all while being supported by an executive cohort that values integrity and professional growth.

As we transition to a divisional service-line model, you will hold single-point accountability for the performance and clinical governance of our rural facilities. Leading a dedicated workforce of approximately 500 FTE and managing an operating budget of $120 million, you will have the resources and authority to drive genuine systemic change.

You won't do this alone; you'll lead a divisional leadership team, partnering with clinical and non-clinical leads to foster a culture of excellence and safety across our geographically dispersed services.

About the role:

  • Provide executive leadership for rural services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and accessible care across all settings.
  • Achieve activity, access, quality, and financial targets within a complex, resource-constrained environment.
  • Lead workforce strategy, recruitment, and deployment to ensure sustainable service delivery across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Partner within a matrix leadership structure to support coordinated decision-making and optimized system performance.
  • Standardize models of care and operational processes to ensure clinical safety and consistency across all rural sites.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence across facilities to strengthen organizational culture and engage with local communities.

About you:

  • You possess substantial senior executive experience managing large, complex, and geographically dispersed service environments.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering performance, managing significant budgets, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • You demonstrate deep expertise in rural or remote service delivery, including workforce sustainability and service integration.
  • You are a sophisticated communicator capable of influencing across disciplines and negotiating competing priorities effectively.
  • You hold high-level business acumen with the ability to align resources to community demand and system priorities.
  • You embody a values-led leadership style, fostering a positive culture through visible engagement and accountability.
  • You ideally hold relevant tertiary qualifications in health, business, management, finance or a related discipline.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $284,962 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $202,404 - $220,983 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
