About us:
Gladstone Hospital is a 79-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, neonatal nursery, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics.
About the role:
- Gladstone Hospital Emergency Department is a Regional Emergency Department which sees about 36,500 patients annually, including approximately 25% paediatric patients.
- Registrars and Principal House Officers will be supported by Emergency Department Consultants, to not only deliver high quality care to patients, but are assisted in career progression.
- Support the provision of a high-quality Emergency Medicine service under the direction and guidance of the Director, Staff Specialists and other Senior Medical Staff.
About you:
- Possess a MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision.
- If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with the appropriate supervision level and provide the following:
- Evidence of successful completion of IELTS or equivalent English Language test results within the last year.
- Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination.
- Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience and qualifications in Emergency Medicine are well regarged.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of $177,890 p.a. (L9) is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a. (L4 - L9)
- A salary rate between $134,489 - $147,585 p.a. (L4 - L7)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
