About your opportunity
The Therapy Assistant will assist allied health professionals (AHP) to provide client care and enhance service provision.
The role works collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, as well as across facilities and community locations, with a focus on complex health conditions, hospital avoidance, post-acute and rehabilitation focused interventions, and reablement/restorative care programs.
Requirements:
- Highly Desirable: Completion of Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or a preparedness to undertake this training) will be looked upon favourably.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
