Our linen keeps Queensland hospitals running — and nothing moves without reliable, safe electrical systems behind the scenes.

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Linen Services Asset & Maintenance team, for our afternoon shift 9am – 6pm Mon-Fri, supporting large-scale industrial laundry operations in an essential healthcare environment. With opportunity to rotate to morning once every 3 weeks.

If you're experienced in industrial or facilities maintenance, enjoy fault-finding under pressure, and take pride in keeping critical equipment safe and reliable, this role offers stability, impact, and real purpose.

Linen Services supports hospitals and health facilities across Queensland. Our sites rely on complex electrical systems powering industrial washers, dryers, conveyors, presses, and automated plant equipment.

Your work directly supports:

What You'll Do

  • Perform corrective, preventive, emergency, and minor capital electrical maintenance
  • Fault-find and repair electrical plant, equipment, and building services in a high-production environment
  • Complete compliance testing, certification, and maintenance reporting
  • Support shutdowns, breakdown response, and on-call activities
  • Work closely with maintenance planners, supervisors, and contractors
  • Maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system
  • Uphold Queensland Health safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times

 

What You Bring

  • Queensland-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification & Licence
  • LVR/CPR
  • Strong experience in industrial, plant, or facilities maintenance
  • Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • Solid computer skills (maintenance systems, Outlook, Teams, basic reporting)
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

 

Highly regarded (but not mandatory):

  • Working at Heights, Confined Space
  • Experience with automated or production-based plant

Other Requirements

  • Participation in on-call and out-of-hours work as required
  • Ability to work across multiple Linen Services facilities
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Appointment is subject to Queensland Health vaccination requirements
