Role details
The Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Administration Officer (Shift Work/After Hours) to join their team on a temporary and/or casual basis.

Your opportunity
We're seeking an organised and adaptable administrative professional to join the Emergency Department in a fast paced and dynamic clinical environment. You will be integral to supporting frontline teams by ensuring efficient coordination of administrative processes that enable safe, timely patient care.
Working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, you will provide high quality administration support across a range of functions, including patient flow coordination, data entry, communication management and general duties. You will be required to respond to competing priorities, maintain accuracy under pressure and contribute to a calm and professional environment for both patients and staff.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. A proactive approach, sound judgement and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion are essential.
Shift times include – 0700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-0700 you must be available to work these shifts as required.
