About the role:

Want to be the go-to powerhouse supporting Rockhampton Hospital's Nursing Directors? This is a fast-paced, high-impact admin role with plenty of autonomy and variety!

  • Be the organised, friendly face of the department - managing diaries, coordinating meetings, screening calls and keeping everything running smoothly.
  • Work independently and make smart decisions while providing exceptional admin and secretarial support.
  • Prepare rosters, maintain databases, generate reports and handle office operations like a pro.
  • Act as the central point of contact, building great relationships across nursing teams and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Manage and organise all aspects of the office requirements, including equipment maintenance and repairs.

About you:

  • Strong research skills and the ability to quickly locate patient information for reports.
  • High‑level proficiency in reception and administrative duties, with confident keyboard, word processing and spreadsheet skills.
  • Fast learner who can quickly pick up medical terminology and hospital systems (myHR, S4HANA andHBCIS).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and keep work flowing when decision‑makers are unavailable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the tact, diplomacy and discretion needed to engage with staff at all levels, external agencies and the public.
  • A natural team player who can also thrive independently in a busy hospital environment.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $3,308 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
