The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Service (AAMHIS) also known as Jugarrbaajing (Unsettled Mind) is 53 bedded inpatient service and caters for varying degrees of mental health issues and clinical acuity ranging from moderate to high and accommodates according to level of clinical need. The service strives to deliver care in a quick and efficient manner, using best evidence-based care and aims to minimise the length of stay in hospital to minimise the disruption to normal daily life and function of our consumers in a holistic manner.
You will be a valued and integral part of the wider Mental Health and Alcohol, and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) leadership team and will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders and organisations to deliver contemporary nursing care, within a dynamic interdisciplinary health environment.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
- Takes responsibility for the nursing leadership and coordination of the unit.
- Ensuring that the unit is adequately and efficiently resourced regarding material, financial and human resources.
- Undertakes the responsibility to communicate clearly and appropriately with unit staff and other relevant internal and external stakeholders and organisations.
