About the role
Provide advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within the Intensive Care Unit, delivering evidence-based patient-centred care while supporting education, quality improvement, and the coordination of multidisciplinary clinical services.
Key accountabilities
• Deliver advanced clinical nursing assessment, intervention, and patient-centred care within the Intensive Care Unit
• Provide clinical leadership, support, and direction to nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members in complex care situations
• Coordinate patient care activities and contribute to safe, effective unit operations including shift coordination responsibilities
• Support education, mentoring, and professional development activities for staff, patients, and families
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement, policy implementation, and evidence-based practice initiatives within the unit
