RSHQ is seeking strong professional regulator expertise to work within the newly established Regulatory Strategy Implementation team. Reporting to the Director, this role will support the implementation of regulatory practice reforms and initiatives that deliver on RSHQ's Regulatory Strategy and Regulatory Model Review recommendations.
We have two (2) temporary 'Principal Advisor' positions available.
What You Will Do
- Plan, implement and maintain frameworks, policies, tools, systems, and processes to ensure delivery of improvements to RSHQ's regulatory functions.
- Provide expert advice and support to the agency on regulatory practice and reform matters.
- Support decision-making of our operational teams and the frameworks in which they operate, while providing high quality guidance and training.
- Contribute to the provisions of expert analysis and advice, including the preparation of concise correspondence, briefings, submissions and policy responses.
- Help set RSHQ's standards of regulatory practice, identifying and driving improvement in consistent, transparent and robust regulatory practice.
What You Will Need To Bring
- Demonstrated experience in regulator agencies and/or operationalising regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence and direct the agency towards regulatory reform, with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Established skill in risk-based problem identification and intervention planning.

Essential / desirable requirements
A degree qualification in the field of public administration or policy, law, governance, risk management or similar or relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution is desirable.
Qualifications
If your qualification is from an overseas institution, you are responsible for obtaining official recognition to determine comparability with the Australian Qualifications Framework. You will be required to provide a certified copy of your qualification assessment prior to engagement.

- Current Australian drivers' licence is required for regional travel.
