We're excited to welcome a Clinical Coder to our Clinical Coding Services.

As a Clinical Coder you are responsible for ensuring the accurate assignment of codes from the ICD-10-AM and Australian Classification of Health Interventions and applying the Australian Coding Standards. Code assignment will occur after effective abstraction of relevant clinical information from patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage workload to achieve various local Health Service and State data and activity reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to the quality of the coding service by taking responsibility for personal development and awareness of updates in coding practice.
- Actively participating in Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service auditing and education programs.
- Influence the accuracy and quality of documentation and clinical coding by actively sending clinical documentation queries.
Remuneration value up to $117 603 p.a., comprising salary between $93 556 - $103 074 p.a. (f/t) or comprising salary between $3 586 - $3 950.80 p.f. (f/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4) (three positions available: two permanent full time and one fixed term temporary full time position until 1 May 2027, 76 hrs p.f.).
