The role:  

The Test Consultant is responsible for leading systems testing design and improvement methodologies and reviewing technical and business design requirements and solutions. You will design and improve methodologies to ensure systems can be migrated from a development environment through to implementation within quality assurance guidelines.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role, you will be experienced in the planning of system and acceptance tests and possess a thorough knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and techniques (including automated testing) applicable to a large scale, complex IM/ICT project environment. Your proven experience in the implementation of quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing is essential.  Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities are essential to assess and evaluate testing requirements. within a complex Information Management/ Information and Communication Technology environment. A flexible and adaptable approach is required and the ability to manage competing work priorities to meet deliverables without compromising outcomes is required to secure this role. Demonstrated experience in administration, test design and automation using industry standard tools like TOSCA, Selenium, Cucumber, eggplant.

About Delivery Services Branch - eHealth Queensland:

The Delivery Services Branch is Queensland Health's trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery and services excellence. The branch includes the following units;

  • Digital Solutions and Technology
  • Digital Health and Business Solutions
  • Digital Solutions Delivery Services
  • Clinical Program
  • Digital Partnerships Teams
  • Digital Enablement

The Clinical Program is a commercial business unit within Delivery Services Branch that operates on a fee for service basis. Consultancy services offered to Queensland Health customers include Analysis, Design, Project Management, Development and Testing.

The Clinical Program operates similar to commercial ICT consultancies where consultants move between assignments (and clients) and may be expected to work simultaneously on multiple assignments/projects as they transition between assignments or if an assignment is small in size and complexity. The Clinical Program encourages consultants to develop close working relationships with clients and frequently physically co-locate with clients across Brisbane in order to develop close working relationships.
