Your new role:
As the Director of Psychology, you will lead Psychology services across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service, driving strategic leadership, governance and service excellence by:
- Leading and managing Psychology services across multiple facilities, programs and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing strategic direction, clinical governance and professional advocacy for Psychology services locally and state-wide
- Overseeing workforce planning, professional standards, supervision, education and capability development for psychologists across the health service
- Managing departmental operations, including staffing, budgets, assets and service performance outcomes
- Driving evidence-based practice, quality improvement, research and service innovation initiatives
- Collaborating with executive leaders, clinical stakeholders and external partners to strengthen integrated, person-centred care
- Supporting the development of future-focused Psychology services aligned with organisational and state-wide priorities
About you:
You are an experienced and influential psychology leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments and can confidently deliver strategic, operational and professional leadership with:
- Extensive senior-level experience leading Psychology services within a large and complex health service environment
- Highly developed clinical expertise and professional knowledge across a broad range of Psychology practice areas
- Strong leadership capability in workforce management, service planning, governance and change management
- Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams, budgets and operational priorities effectively
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated success driving research, education, service improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Eligibility for general registration with AHPRA and Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status
- Postgraduate qualifications in Psychology and/or leadership, management or research highly regarded

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
