Your new role:

In this important support role, you will provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the Nurse Manager and clinical team to assist with patient flow and service delivery outcomes. You will:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support including document preparation, meeting coordination, data entry and reporting
  • Utilise multiple hospital information systems to support patient movement, bed utilisation and operational monitoring
  • Maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets and KPI reporting to support service performance and decision-making
  • Act as a key communication contact for the MSH Additional Beds team, liaising with internal and external stakeholders

About you:

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable administration professional who thrives in a busy team environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to service excellence. You have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • High attention to detail with proven experience delivering accurate, quality administrative support
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn hospital information systems

The Metro South Health (MSH) Patient Flow Program's (PFP) primary objective is to support the ability of the health service to maximise capacity for patient care and resource allocation by using a patient centred approach that promotes timely access to safe, quality care. This is achieved through the adaptation of contemporary and creative strategies that eliminate constraints in a patient's journey.
