About the role
Deliver high quality social work services within Women's and Newborn Services, providing complex psychosocial assessment, intervention, supervision and support to patients and families.
Key accountabilities
• Deliver evidence-based social work services including complex psychosocial assessment, risk assessment, discharge planning and intervention.
• Provide specialist support in domestic violence, child protection, grief and loss, including pregnancy loss and neonatal death.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support patient care, safety and psychosocial outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to less experienced staff and students within the social work team.
• Contribute to quality improvement, professional development, research and service delivery initiatives within Women's and Newborn Services.
