About the role
In accordance with the Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) values, as outlined above, the role of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar/Principal House Officer is to o participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to hospital patients. To contribute to the continual upgrading of medical education, and dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients. The appointment will be to the Metro North Hospital and Health Service for the provision of services to one of the acute Hospitals. However, at some future time, the appointee's clinical duties may be extended to any of the other health care facilities within the District.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- To provide obstetric & gynaecological services under the supervision and direction of Senior staff.
- Document relevant clinical information accurately, concisely and legibly in patients charts.
- Conduct interviews, examinations and the identification of clinical problems.
- To arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment and discharge as directed by the Consultant to which assigned.
