About us:

Operational Services Officers - Porterage, Cleaning, Food Services, Linen Services, Waste Services, Resource Pool support clinical staff to deliver the best possible care to patients. From providing nutritious meals, to transporting patients throughout the hospital, to keeping our hospital clean, providing clean linen and collection of all waste across the campus. Operational Services Officers are integral to running an effective and safe hospital.

About the role:

  • Operational Services Officers support clinical staff to deliver the best possible care to patients. From providing nutritious meals, to transporting patients throughout the hospital, to keeping our hospital clean, Operational Services Officers are integral to running an effective and safe hospital.
  • The Operational Service Officer will provide non- clinical support to the Rockhampton Hospital Campus in the areas of food services.
  • Operate with minimal supervision through a variety of duties including but not limited to salad, sandwich and vegetable preparation, plating of meals, beverage service, delivery of meals and client contact, cleaning, stock management and signing off all Food Safety audits.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.

About you:

  • Demonstrated skills in the area that you are applying for (e.g. food), please demonstrate your experience in the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognise where improvements are required, and the process involved in implementing the changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage required timeframes to ensure that there is no disruption to patient flow within the Rockhampton Hospital.
  • Demonstrate your ability to work with minimum supervision and be able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $40.22 - $42.91 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
