About us:
Welcome to Central Queensland Renal Services - connecting care across Central and West Queensland, from Longreach to Yeppoon and everywhere in between.
Based in Rockhampton, our hub-and-spoke service connects patients to expert care through the Rockhampton Community Dialysis Centre, offering satellite haemodialysis for low-complexity patients, plus home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis training and ongoing support. We're focused on making life-sustaining treatment more accessible, flexible, and close to home.
About the role:
- Lead with impact and step into this Nurse Unit Manager role and deliver dynamic Renal clinical leadership and governance - driving excellence in patient care, workforce support, operational management, and strong stakeholder engagement.
- As the Nurse Grade 7, enjoy high-level autonomy in clinical decision-making, operational leadership, and multi-disciplinary collaboration while championing clinical governance and best-practice care.
- Shape the future and take ownership of building a thriving workplace culture focused on education, learning, research, and workforce development - all while providing hands-on clinical expertise in the Renal unit.
- Report directly to the Director of Nursing with real financial and human resource delegations, giving you the power to make meaningful operational and strategic decisions.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate is mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, having a relevant postgraduate qualification in Renal nursing would be highly regarded.
- You will bring strong leadership and problem-solving skills, confidently supervising and developing your team while managing human, financial, and material resources to deliver excellent community dialysis services.
- You will be a natural collaborator and communicator, skilled at coordinating care across sites and building positive relationships with patients, staff, and stakeholders to keep care closer to home.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
