We're excited to welcome an Enrolled Nurse to our Mental Health and Specialised Services Casual Pool.
The Mental wards within the service include Rosella (Adolescent-SCUH), Waratah (Older Persons-SCUH), Kamala (Adult - SCUH), Melaleuca (Mental Health Intensive Care Unit - SCUH), Pandanus (Adult and Intensive Care Unit - Nambour), Bunya (Adult and Intensive Care Unit - Nambour), Community Care Unit (Mountain Creek).
There are 94 beds across the Inpatient service.
This position provides a unique opportunity to utilise your mental health specific clinical expertise, demonstrate excellence in nursing care, while contributing to the future development of the Mental Health nursing within Mental Health and Specialised Service (MHSS). In addition, this role will work under the supervision of the Registered and Clinical Nurses as per the scope of practice of the Enrolled Nurse.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Continuity of care and the promotion of patient safety and quality are paramount and informed by evidence-based practice consistent with national, state and local mental health policies and directions.
- The underpinning principles and commitment of the SCHHS-MHSS include the provision of services which are person centred and recovery oriented with the aim of assisting individuals with mental illness to realise their optimal potential as individuals and as valued citizens of the community.
- The active involvement of consumers, families and carers is encouraged to assist in promoting resilience and recovery for the consumer.
- Within the SCHHS-MHSS, the interdisciplinary approach (including family and carer involvement) is vital in ensuring continuity of care across a network of crisis intervention, acute care, maintenance of care and extended community treatment.
Salary rates: 47.41 - $50.31 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) (NRG3) (multiple casual positions available) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
