Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $97,843 to $102,777 p.a. (HP3 / NG6-1)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), you will provide a broad range drug alcohol assessments and interventions to individuals, their families and groups in the context of minimising harm from substance use within the Townsville geographical area.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.

Please note, this is a fixed term temporary part-time position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing 08/06/2026 to 04/07/2027, with the possibility of an additional 12 month extension.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and proof of registration (if applicable).
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Blue Card Checks (Social Work).
