About the role
The Exercise Physiologist – Senior provides high level, quality, evidence based clinical exercise physiology services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers within the West Moreton Prevention Health Murrumba Targan Djimbulung Service (Good Healing My People). With providing a focus on adult health and well-being and prevention health strategies for those at risk of or living with a chronic condition.
This role works as part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides care guided by evidence-based principles with a consumer – focused approach to service provision. The Deadly Steps Together Program (DSTP) is the foundation of the Murrumba Targan Djimbulung Service and is a dedicated program aimed at providing services in a culturally safe manner to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Appointee must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in Exercise Physiology (or equivalent); recognised in Queensland and be an accredited member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
