About the role
Temporary opportunity to provide advanced clinical scope of practice and leadership in psychology services for Queensland Health patients requiring fertility preservation services for cancer and/or complex conditions and treatments causing infertility.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver specialised psychological clinical and consultancy services to patients accessing fertility preservation services for cancer and/or complex medical conditions and treatments affecting fertility. The delivery of this service will be in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements, and with a high degree of independence.
- Provide clinical advice, direction, and support to a team of fertility preservation and health clinicians to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
- Provide clinical education, training and assessment to Psychology staff and students within the specialist area of Fertility Preservation Services.
- Implement succession planning, competency training and skill development within both the Fertility Preservation Service and the Psychology Department.
