- Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity:
The Hazardous Manual Tasks Coordinator provides specialist advice to support managers and work units across Townsville Hospital and Health Service in the prevention and effective management of hazardous manual task and musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risks.
The role focuses on the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of musculoskeletal disorder prevention programs, including training coordination, incident response support, and risk assessments in line with legislative requirements, codes of practice, and relevant standards, policies and procedures.
Operating within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System, the role works closely with stakeholders to ensure hazardous manual task training and capability development is appropriately integrated, consistent, and aligned to both work health and safety standards and service delivery requirements.
The position plays a key role in strengthening organisational capability to identify and manage manual task risks, supporting safe systems of work, and contributing to a sustained reduction in manual task related injuries and incidents through practical, system‑based risk management approaches.
Requirements:
- Possession of a tertiary degree qualificaton in a relevant Health Practitioner discipline such as Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist and proof of registration (AHPRA).
- Possession of a qualitification in training and assessment.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in health and safety will be highly regarded.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
