About the role

The Enrolled Nurse (EN with Endorsement) supports a registered nurse in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This care will be evidenced by educational preparation, adhering to relevant legislation and context of care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Contemporary clinical knowledge and experience in the area of general medical and surgical nursing or a passion to learn and work with medical and surgical patient groups
- High level of communication skills and ability to escalate issues to a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
- Consistent delivery of a high level of services to patients, parents, caregivers and families, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
- Self-management skills, displaying flexibility and adapting to unexpected change.
- Respect for the unique and diverse needs of patients, families and people delivering quality, safe patient centred care.
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence based practices.
- Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
