Role details
The Health Information Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Data Quality Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The primary purpose of the position is to assist in the management and maintenance of a variety of health information systems, primarily Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), EDS and The Viewer.
About the Team
The Health Information Service (HIS) provides specialist services that embrace the overall commitment to the management and provision of quality patient information to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
The service is comprised of the following key areas: Health Information Management, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Information Access, Scanning Unit, Medical Typing, Corporate Records, Mail Room and the Switchboard.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
