About us:
Located in the heart of the community, Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed facility providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care services. The hospital is supported by a wide range of allied health and community-based services, including radiology, pharmacy, immunisation, child health, mental health and alcohol and other drugs services, occupational therapy, social work, pathology, physiotherapy, and oral health, ensuring holistic care for the local community.
About the role:
- Provide advanced clinical nursing care and coordinate best practice service delivery within a rural generalist setting.
- Deliver leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and medical staff, including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and non-registered team members.
- Practise autonomously with strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills across a range of complex healthcare situations.
- Lead and coordinate ward or unit operations, including acting as shift coordinator or team leader and supporting service delivery in the absence of senior nursing staff.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient safety, workplace health and safety, and quality care.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma would be well regarded.
- Experience in the provision of a safe and quality focused environment by ensuring safe work practices, reviewing clinical outcomes, developing a quality improvement plan and applying the risk management framework.
- Ability to provide clinical nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $139,252 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
- An hourly rate between $71.85 - $76.94 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
