About the Role
The position of Occupational Therapist – Clinical Leader (Surgical – Orthopaedics, Plastics and Hands) will:
- Deliver advanced level paediatric occupational therapy clinical and consultancy services within the surgical stream with specific emphasis on the provision of services within the specialist clinical areas of orthopaedics, plastics and congenital & acquired hand and upper limb conditions and injuries.
- Deliver direct clinical services in the acute tertiary hospital setting at the Children's Health Queensland and provide consultancy across CHQHHS and state-wide services across the continuum of care (acute, sub-acute and ambulatory settings).
- Provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight of the occupational therapy surgical team to coordinate the delivery of clinical services and maintain clinical excellence and high standards of care.
- Develop and drive the strategic objectives of acute paediatric services in the surgical stream at both a HHS and state level under the leadership of the Director of Occupational Therapy and Music Therapy.
