About the Team

The Healthy Hearing Program is a state-wide interprofessional initiative within Children's Health Queensland, committed to the early identification, diagnosis, and support of hearing loss in all babies and children across the state. The program operates across multiple service areas to ensure newborns, infants, and children receive timely and equitable access to high-quality hearing screening, diagnostic assessment, and early intervention services.

About the Role

In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Support the Healthy Hearing strategic plan to enhance community engagement using culturally safe and effective consultation frameworks and engagement skills to identify future priorities and issues for Healthy Hearing state-wide service delivery.
  • Contribute to analysis and reporting on submissions and documentation regarding data analysis and interpretation of activity, engagement and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children in the Healthy Hearing program.
  • Provide advice and education to Healthy Hearing internal and external healthcare staff to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patient experiences within the Healthy Hearing pathway and increase access to care, including practical advice on effective communication, health promotion, supports and delivery of care.
