The position of Allied Health Mental Health Mental Health Clinician will deliver high level mental health services as a member of the Evolve Therapeutic Services multi-disciplinary team to optimise psycho-social outcomes for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders, and who are in the care of Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, and their families and carers.

About the Team
The Evolve Therapeutic Service provides mental health services to children and young people 0-18 years involved with child safety services, on child protection orders and in out-of-home care, who have severe and/or complex mental health needs. The service delivers clinical and coordinated support to children and young people including their stakeholder network to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The Queensland ETS program is an external third party funded program under a Memorandum of Understanding between Queensland Health and the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Clinical Practice:
- Deliver core clinical services in accordance with the discipline specific Code of Ethics and the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce. This includes:
- Diagnostic assessment and formulation and timely and appropriate treatment interventions, consistent with current best practice.
- Case management as part of the multidisciplinary team; more advanced clinicians will demonstrate higher levels of independence and clinical skills.
- Provision of reports consistent with discipline and Queensland Health (QH) standards
- Referral, liaison and interagency collaborative care planning
- Advocacy for consumers and their families/carers
- Demonstrate ability to manage increasingly complex clinical caseloads and increasingly independent clinical practice under the supervision of a more senior clinician, as delegated by the Discipline Director.
