Your new role:
As the Senior Dietitian within the acute care team, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services while contributing to service innovation, education, and quality improvement initiatives by:
- Delivering high-quality clinical dietetic assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional healthcare environment
- Managing complex acute care caseloads with a high level of clinical judgement and independence
- Supporting service development, evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives across the department
- Providing supervision, training and mentorship to junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, patient-centred care outcomes
- Assisting with workload coordination and responding to changing operational demands within the service
- Contributing to research, education and continuous improvement activities that enhance patient care and service delivery
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative clinician who demonstrates strong acute care dietetics capability along with a passion for leadership, education and service excellence with:
- Demonstrated high-level clinical knowledge and experience in acute care nutrition and dietetics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage complex clinical workloads within a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting or supervising junior staff, students or assistants in clinical practice
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, service improvement and patient-centred care
- Eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credentialing and membership with Dietitians Australia
