Your new role:

As the Advanced Dietitian - Team Leader, you will provide advanced clinical, operational and professional leadership across Nutrition and Dietetics services while supporting excellence in patient care, education, workforce development and research by:

  • Leading a medium-sized team of dietitians, dietitian assistants and trainees across inpatient, ambulatory and outpatient services
  • Delivering advanced clinical assessment, treatment planning and consultancy services for complex patient presentations
  • Providing mentoring, supervision and professional support to develop a skilled and collaborative workforce
  • Driving service improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice initiatives across the department
  • Coordinating workforce planning, workload allocation, rostering and performance development activities
  • Building strong multidisciplinary relationships to support safe, compassionate and consumer-centred care
  • Contributing to research, quality improvement and professional governance activities aligned with organisational priorities

About you:

You are an experienced and motivated dietitian leader who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and brings:

  • Advanced clinical expertise in Nutrition and Dietetics with a strong commitment to evidence-based patient care
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and supporting multidisciplinary or allied health teams
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leading service improvement, innovation, research or quality initiatives
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, workforce demands and operational responsibilities effectively
  • A commitment to mentoring, professional development and fostering positive team culture
  • Eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status and membership with Dietitians Australia

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
