We're excited to welcome a Psychologist Senior to our Women's and Children's Services Allied Health team.

The Psychologist Senior will provide specialised clinical services to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) population. Quality AYA care is required wherever young people live or receive physical health and/or mental health care, and to provide consistent and integrated quality AYA care across sectors to improve the patient experience and access to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice in the areas of development, medical, mental health biopsychosocial, adolescent and young adult care. Including a high level of complex problem solving and clinical expertise across these domains.
  • Work in a collaborative interdisciplinary team structure, which includes clinical assessment, stakeholder liaison, supports, and recommendations that has a high level of communication skills to deliver support across a wide range of specialities and can respond to the complex healthcare needs of young people.
  • Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
  • Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychology practitioners and students as delegated.

Remuneration comprising salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary part time position, 46.5 hrs p.f. for up to 4 months).
