About the opportunity
The Physiotherapy Assistant contributes to patient care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of a Physiotherapist within a 7-day service.
PLEASE NOTE - These roles will be required to work a roster that includes weekend work.
Role requirements
- While not mandatory, a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance would be well regarded.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Clinical Ability:
- Under supervision, demonstrated ability to provide a defined range of patient interventions as delegated by the Physiotherapist.
- Ability to work under direction and within the limitations of a defined role in patient care.
- Ability to effectively use computers and general office equipment and to quickly acquire ability to use new information and data systems.
- Ability to learn and commitment to train in specific handling and technical skills and competencies relevant to the position.
- Team Participation/ Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team with a good understanding of own scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated skills in self-organisation and initiative to enable the timely completion of a variety of tasks allowing efficient service function.

- Salary range: $2624.50 - $2759.10 p.f. (CA3)
