About the opportunity
Working under a delegated model of practice to achieve consumer-focussed outcomes, as the Medical Imaging Assistant you will support the effective and efficient running of the medical imaging service at the Ingham Hospital.
With all the lifestyle and community benefits that the Hinchinbrook area offers, this position is a key member of the Medical Imaging Team at the Ingham Hospital.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a permanent full-time role.
Role requirements
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of a Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant, or experience in a similar role would be highly desirable.
- It is highly desired that the successful applicant holds, or is willing to obtain and use a Rural or Remote Area Radiography use licence (x-ray operator licence) to support the operational functions of the imaging department
- Successful applicants to this position will possess a Class C Motor Vehicle licence
- The successful candidates will be required to participate in roster that involves shift work, weekend work and public holidays.
- Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.

- Salary range: $2624.50 - $2759.10 p.f. (CA3)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
