Your new role:
Join a specialist vascular access team where you'll provide advanced nursing expertise, lead clinical decision-making and play a key role in improving outcomes for patients with complex care needs. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment, you'll deliver expert vascular access management while contributing to education, quality improvement and service development.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver specialist vascular access assessment and management for complex patients
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and expert nursing advice
- Coordinate and manage care planning within a multidisciplinary team
- Lead and support safe, evidence-based vascular access practices
- Mentor, educate and support clinicians through formal and informal teaching
About you:
You are a clinically confident and collaborative Registered Nurse who brings advanced vascular access knowledge and strong leadership capability. You thrive in complex healthcare environments and enjoy supporting others through education, mentorship and shared learning.
You will bring:
- Advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Strong experience in vascular access surveillance and CVAD management
- Experience with PICC insertion or demonstrated ability to develop this expertise
- Advanced peripheral intravenous cannulation skills
- Understanding of vascular access complications and infection prevention strategies

About us:
VAST (Vascular Access Surveillance Team) provides support, education and training to clinical areas and multidisciplinary team to minimise the risk of healthcare associated infections for patients with vascular access devices (VAD's). The VAST team provide hospital wide services including daily surveillance of VAD's, bedside PICC insertion service, hospital wide audits of VADs and ad hoc training and education to hospital staff regarding Intravenous cannulation and vascular access management.
