Your opportunity
This is a rewarding opportunity for a junior doctor seeking broad clinical exposure, strong supervision, and meaningful contribution to rural communities in Central West Queensland. This role offers a broad introductory exposure to rural generalist medicine, supporting diverse patient presentations across acute, subacute, and outpatient settings. You will provide high-quality clinical care to patients within Central West Hospital and Health Service, working under the close supervision of senior medical officers to ensure patient safety and ongoing development of your clinical knowledge and skills. You will collaborate with clinicians from other specialists and visiting practitioners to support comprehensive patient care.

You will join a multidisciplinary rural generalist medical team comprising of the Director of Medical Services, Senior Medical Officers, Principal House Officers, and Registrars. The team operates within a unique employment model, including 31 Senior Medical Officer's and Principal House Officers/Registrars across the health service, encouraging practice at top of scope and lifelong support of each other.
