The purpose of this role is to perform complex scientific and technical duties within Chemical Pathology, providing accurate analysis, validation and interpretation of patient specimens within a continuous shift laboratory environment.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform and validate diagnostic testing within Chemical Pathology, apply scientific judgement to patient specimen analysis, investigate analytical and technical issues, contribute to method and instrument problem-solving activities, participate in a 24/7 and on-call roster, support quality and accreditation initiatives, contribute to the development of laboratory procedures and protocols, and assist in the supervision and development of less experienced staff and support personnel.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Science
- Has knowledge and experience in Chemical Pathology testing and analysis
- Can apply independent scientific judgement and problem-solving skills
- Has strong communication and teamwork capabilities
- Has experience working within quality and accreditation frameworks
- Can participate in continuous shift and on-call rostering
