About us:

Join our Medical/Surgical Ward 1 Unit, located in Block One on the first floor of the Gladstone Hospital. Our service offers a total of 31 inpatient beds which cover sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care patients.

Our Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.

About the role:

  • Show ability and motivation to continually progress own competency along the continuum from novice to advanced level.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills that support competent nursing practice
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Possess nursing knowledge and skills at an advanced level to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team, with an ability to facilitate, promote and adapt to change.

About you:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Possess well developed interpersonal and communication skills and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
  • Proactively identify and manage patients within the inpatient setting.
  • Understanding of the importance of quality, safety and risk in healthcare environment.
  • Able to demonstrate effective relationships with the range of health professionals involved in providing patient care.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $83,785 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.44 - $43.98 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
