Your new role:
As a Clinical Midwife within the Maternity Outpatients Department, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership and coordination to support safe, high-quality outcomes for women, babies and families by:
- Delivering evidence-based antenatal midwifery care within a women-centred model of practice
- Providing advanced clinical assessment, care planning and problem-solving in complex maternity presentations
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective care delivery
- Supporting continuity of care and empowering women to make informed decisions throughout their pregnancy journey
- Leading and contributing to quality improvement, education, research and clinical governance activities
- Mentoring, guiding and supporting midwives, students and healthcare team members
- Promoting culturally safe, inclusive and compassionate maternity care for diverse communities
About you:
You are a compassionate and experienced midwife who is passionate about delivering exceptional maternity care and supporting positive outcomes for women and families with:
- Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in antenatal midwifery care
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, education and continuous professional development
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience supporting quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
- A strong commitment to culturally safe, respectful and inclusive healthcare practices
- Well-developed computer literacy and documentation skills
