About the role:

  • As a Nurse Grade 7 Educator, you'll design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact simulation education programs that turn theory into real-world confidence and directly improve patient outcomes across Central Queensland.
  • You'll champion a supportive learning environment that encourages enquiry, professional growth, and continuous development, empowering nurses and midwives to thrive through mentorship, innovation, and evidence-based practice.
  • You'll oversee and grow our network of simulation “pocket centres,” create engaging learning resources, and provide expert guidance to clinical teams.
  • Working autonomously yet collaboratively, you'll blend clinical expertise, education leadership, and research to elevate standards, influence strategy, and foster a workplace where lifelong learning and quality improvement are part of everyday culture.

About you:

  • You're a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration with a valid practising certificate.
  • Whilst not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification at an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 8 will support the operational expectations of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post-graduate study within an agreed timeframe will be supported and will form part of the performance review process.
  • You will thrive on education and simulation with a talent for designing, delivering, and evaluating engaging simulation programs, you love creating learning experiences that build capability and improve patient outcomes across diverse settings.
  • Bring your natural collaborator and leadership skills and build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams, communicate with impact, and excel at fostering a positive, supportive learning culture that empowers others to grow.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $54,747 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
