The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Manager (Security Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide specialist security related advice and recommendations to the Director Facility and Security Operations
- Lead, motivate and drive attitudinal change across the organisation to establish a culture of security awareness
- Lead and manage a program delivery of security equipment maintenance support within approved timelines, scope and budget
- Support the Director Facility and Security Operations to ensure the team delivers a highly responsive security service
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- While not mandatory, the following would be well regarded including:
- A Diploma/Degree in Security Management/Security Risk Management or similar Tertiary qualifications, including significant demonstrated experience in business administration and security management & operations.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $140 115 - $150 371 per annum
About Us
Facilities and Security Operations is a service line within, the directorate of Operational Support Services (OSS). OSS supports the delivery of non-clinical services within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
The Protective Services Department within Security Operations protects the GCHHS people, assets, and facilities from physical hazards by preventing, detecting, and responding to threats using access controls, surveillance systems and alarms to continuously monitor our people and our facilities.
The Protective Services Department safeguard a secure environment for patients, staff and visitors within GCHHS facilities through incident response, loss prevention, risk assessments, and monitoring suspicious activity.
