Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Specialist Outpatients Department at Logan Hospital and Meadowbrook Health Centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and operational excellence across a diverse range of specialist outpatient services.
- Provide advanced clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team, supporting best practice patient care, service delivery and workforce development.
- Lead the effective management of human, financial and material resources, including rostering, budget oversight, quality assurance and performance monitoring.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, clinical governance, risk management and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Foster a positive team culture through mentoring, education, succession planning and collaboration across internal and external healthcare stakeholders.
About you:
We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative nursing leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare outcomes and building high-performing teams within a complex outpatient environment.
- Demonstrated experience in operational and clinical leadership within a healthcare setting, including workforce management, service improvement and resource coordination.
- Strong understanding of contemporary nursing practice, clinical governance, quality and safety standards, and evidence-based care delivery.
- Proven ability to lead and engage multidisciplinary teams, manage change effectively and build a positive, patient-focused workplace culture.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About us:
The Specialist Outpatient Department (SOPD) at Logan Hospital provides consumers access to the assessment and management of a vast range of medical conditions which require specialist opinion and intervention in an outpatient setting. SOPD focuses on delivering healthcare with a holistic patient centred focus. SOPD is located in Buildings 1 and 2 at LGH and also includes multiple satellite sites.
