Our Psychology service brings care and connection across hospitals and community settings - from Gladstone to the Capricorn Coast, and Biloela to Emerald and Rockhampton. We support people across the lifespan, helping with psychological, emotional, and behavioural needs during hospital stays, recovery, and outpatient care.

About the role:
- Deliver high-level, evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and case management across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
- Provide integrated, client-focused care within a multidisciplinary team, supporting children with complex developmental needs, their families as well as patients experiencing psychological, emotional, behavioural, or cognitive impacts related to illness, injury, or medical care.
- Work collaboratively as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, offering high-level clinical advice, participating in care planning, and actively contributing to health promotion and education around psychological wellbeing to support patient outcomes.
- Support capability building across the workforce by contributing to supervision, education, and mentoring of students, provisional psychologists, emerging clinicians, and Allied Health Assistants.
About you:
- Holding general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and PsyBA, along with a current annual practising certificate is mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Health Psychology at Masters/Doctorate level, or PsyBA area of practice endorsement in one of these areas, as well as PsyBA approved supervisor status, is highly desirable.
- You bring strong, high-level clinical expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and case management across hospital, child development, and community settings, with the ability to provide specialist advice and contribute to service development and professional standards.
- You're a strong team player who thrives in multidisciplinary environments, consistently collaborating effectively and communicating clearly with patients, families, and stakeholders.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $94,415 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
