For over 27 years, we've delivered high-quality, free breast cancer screening using the latest digital mammography technology, empowering women to take charge of their health with confidence.

As the region's only accredited BreastScreen Australia provider, we're proud to extend our care beyond our Rockhampton base through our Gladstone site and mobile service reaching rural and remote communities. With flexible appointments (including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays), we make it easier to prioritise your health, because every woman in Central Queensland deserves convenient, high-quality screening without the stress.

About the role:

  • You'll play a key role educating and supporting clients about breast health, while fostering a culture of learning by mentoring and up-skilling fellow nurses within the service.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement, multidisciplinary team meetings, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice helping deliver safe, effective breast screening services across CQ while advancing your professional leadership journey.

About you:

  • If you're committed to the completion of the BreastScreen Nurse Counsellor's Course, you're encouraged to apply!
  • In this role, you will build trust with ease, using exceptional interpersonal skills and thrive on providing sensitive, supportive counselling both face-to-face and over the phone. You can connect with a diverse range of clients, staff, and multidisciplinary teams delivering clear information and reassurance as they move through screening and assessment pathways.
  • You bring advanced clinical expertise and a genuine passion for women's health, delivering high-quality care, education, and counselling across the screening to diagnosis journey.
