About the role:

  • Provide energetic and efficient administration support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing Directorate. You'll help deliver meaningful health equity initiatives and programs that improve access, experiences, and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Central Queensland.
  • Assist with planning, tracking, and delivering key projects on time and on budget. This includes supporting the School Based Trainee program, coordinating meetings and communications, conducting basic research, collecting data, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Work closely with the Manager Health Equity and Programs and the wider team, preparing high-quality documents, reports, and correspondence while building strong, positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Help foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture that values respect, collaboration, and wellbeing.

About you:

  • You identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, and bring your lived experience, cultural knowledge, and passion to help drive meaningful health equity and better outcomes for our communities (mandatory).
  • You have solid knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies and thrive on keeping things on track. You're skilled at planning, coordinating, and delivering tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards.
  • You use innovative, customer-focused approaches to strengthen administrative systems and continuously improve programs and services.
  • You work well with limited supervision, build great relationships with stakeholders, and are committed to creating a respectful, high-performing, and supportive workplace culture.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $117,603 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $47.18 - $51.98 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
