We are seeking dynamic and innovative educators to join TAFE Queensland’s Electrotechnology Talent Pool (Electrician – UEE & Instrumentation/Control streams). As a leading provider of vocational education and training, TAFE Queensland is committed to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training that equips learners with the technical skills required to succeed in the electrical and instrumentation sectors.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from experienced licensed electricians and instrumentation/control professionals with a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of tradespeople. Strong industry experience in areas such as electrical installation, commissioning, fault finding, automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), instrumentation, and workplace health and safety is highly regarded.

As a valued member of the teaching and delivery team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of quality learning experiences for a diverse range of students through:
- Delivering engaging, industry-aligned training and assessment aligned to UEE Electrotechnology Training Package qualifications
- Supporting students to develop practical skills across electrical systems, instrumentation, and control technologies
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of training and assessment practices
- Mentoring and guiding apprentices and learners to achieve successful trade outcomes
- Maintaining strong connections with industry to ensure training reflects current standards, technologies and regulatory requirements
- Modelling safe work practices and reinforcing a strong safety culture

TAFE Queensland regularly has short and long-term opportunities for educators across a range of qualification delivery areas. This talent pool enables applicants to be considered for roles as they become available.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
a. Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
- UEE30820 - Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or Equivalent; with
- UEE22020 - Certificate II Electrotechnology or Equivalent
b. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE50122 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
- TAE50111 TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50211 or TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
- A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
- TAESS00024 - VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
- TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 - Assessor Skills Set or its successor; or
- Higher level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland); and
c. Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
d. Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
e. Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
