Your new role:
Join the dedicated team within Stradbroke Ward, providing high-quality medical and surgical nursing care to patients across Bayside Health Service. In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care. You will:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care across a diverse range of medical and surgical specialties including orthopaedics, general medicine and palliative care.
- Undertake clinical assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with nursing, allied health and medical teams to support best practice care delivery.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical leadership and ongoing professional development within the ward environment.
About you:
You are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative healthcare setting and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in medical and/or surgical nursing with strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient-centred care.
- Strong communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities with the ability to adapt in a dynamic clinical environment.

Unit Profile
Bayside Health Service encompasses five public health campuses being Redland Hospital at Cleveland, Marie Rose Centre at Dunwich North Stradbroke Island, Wynnum Manly Community Health Centre “Gundu Pa”, Pandanus Ward at Casuarina Lodge, Wynnum Manly and the newly developed Redlands Satellite Hospital “Talwalpin Milbul” at Redland Bay.
Stradbroke Ward is a 34-bed unit that provides combined medical and surgical care to acutely unwell patients. Areas of speciality include general surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics, general medicine, and palliative care. The staff are committed to providing person centred care, in consultation with the multidisciplinary team, patient and their family/carer.
