Your new role:
As an Anaesthetics Registrar / Provisional Fellow, you will provide elective and emergency anaesthetic services across a diverse patient cohort while contributing to education, clinical leadership and service improvement initiatives. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in delivering safe, patient-centred perioperative care and supporting continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anaesthetic care across elective and emergency services
- Participate in after-hours anaesthetic rosters to ensure continuous patient care and service delivery
- Provide supervision, mentoring and education to junior medical staff, medical students and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to research, quality improvement, clinical review and patient safety initiatives within the department
About you:
You are a motivated and collaborative medical professional with strong clinical judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Skills and Experience
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
- Previous anaesthetics experience and/or ANZCA trainee registration
- Strong communication, teamwork and clinical leadership capabilities
- Commitment to education, continuous improvement and patient-centred care

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
