About the role:
- Bring expert clinical leadership to a fast-paced Emergency Department, guiding teams through complex, high-risk cases with sharp decision-making, confidence and autonomy.
- You'll bring your advanced skills, critical thinking, and specialist knowledge to deliver outstanding, evidence-based care every shift.
- Drive innovation and influence practice by developing and embedding evidence-based models of care and quality policies and improvements that make a real difference to patient flow, safety, and outcomes in one of Central Queensland's busiest Emergency Departments.
- Support and grow the nursing team, oversee clinical portfolios, and strengthen clinical governance through education, research, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement - all while keeping us aligned with national standards.
About you:
- It is a mandatory requirement to be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). A relevant postgraduate qualification (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters) in emergency/critical care nursing is highly desirable.
- You're an experienced emergency nurse who delivers high-quality, person-centred care with excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and confidently manage complex and high-acuity patients.
- You demonstrate strong clinical leadership, teamwork, and mentoring skills - sharing knowledge, supporting the development of others, and fostering a positive, evidence-based, and collaborative culture within the team.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
