About the Team
CHQ Pharmacy is dedicated to providing and supporting high quality clinical and medication management services to the children and young people of CHQ. The pharmacy service has a staff of approximately 110, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrative staff and support staff. The pharmacy team provides services to inpatients, outpatients, hospital in the home, cancer care services, poisons information, aseptic compounding, clinical trials along with safety, quality and governance. The Queensland Poisons Information Service is part of CHQ Pharmacy and provides 24 hour a day emergency service in cases of poisoning.
About the Role
The position of Pharmacist Advanced - Safety, Quality and Governance (Medication Infusion Pumps) will:
- Deliver advanced pharmacy clinical and consultancy services in relation to the governance, development and maintenance of medication infusion pump drug libraries and software, including B.Braun infusion pumps and PCA/NCA pumps.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of paediatric quality use of medicines, governance and medication safety in relation to the medication infusion pump fleets and drug library development.
- Actively lead the teaching and training of the pump and drug library for the Pharmacy team and nursing staff in partnership with nursing education.
Please note that this role is part-time with the shift requirement of 2 days a weeks.
